I am a seasoned elementary educator with over 20 years of experience, devoted to nurturing the whole child through meaningful, hands-on learning. My work is rooted in a deep appreciation for childhood, nature, and the rhythms of the seasons, offering outdoor enrichment experiences that are thoughtfully attuned to our local environment. As both a teacher and outdoor enthusiast, I guide children in developing practical and imaginative skills such as navigation, shelter-building, plant identification, and traditional outdoor crafts. Through these experiences, students engage directly with the living world, cultivating observation, resilience, and a sense of wonder. Scientific concepts are woven naturally into each experience, allowing children to encounter ideas through movement, discovery, and real-world application. My approach fosters curiosity, confidence, and a deepened relationship with the natural world, supporting each child’s growth in both knowledge and self-awareness.
