Sunshine and Structured Literacy for All

Like Sunshine is needed to help things grow and thrive, structured literacy is the key to helping ALL students learn because it is diagnostic and prescriptive to the student personally when provided by an experienced and well-trained provider. That is why I am tutoring kids in K-12. I am passionate about helping families with their student's language and literacy needs. I am working to prevent issues as well as to remediate existing issues. It's my mission to help kids learn to love and be successful with reading and writing. I am a Florida certified k-12 Elementary ESE teacher with ESOL and Reading Endorsements. I'm the Interventions Teacher at my Elementary school and I tutor in my personal time. I love to read and write myself and feel called to bring that love of literacy to students who've struggled with learning to read. I've been through several important training programs for Orton-Gillingham and personally sought additional knowledge with Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling (LETRS), Reading Simplified and Evidence Based Literacy Intervention (EBLI). My love for learning has me continually growing as I follow the leaders in a variety of fields encompassing the science of reading and structured literacy. I have helped many students with Dyslexia (and other difficulties) learn to believe in themselves by becoming readers and I have wonderful references from my current and past families. I can help your student succeed!
