Scholar Stride provides individualized, specialized reading instruction using an Orton-Gillingham based, multisensory structured language approach referred to as Structured Literacy. Structured Literacy focuses on explicitly teaching foundational and higher-level literacy skills incorporating simultaneous, multisensory (VAKT) techniques as concepts are introduced. Instruction is direct, systematic, cumulative, diagnostic, and prescriptive. The International Dyslexia Association (IDA) developed and trademarked the method, which is based on the science of how children learn to read. Structured Literacy can help all students improve their reading skills, but it's especially helpful for students with reading challenges like dyslexia.
