Ella is a live illustrator, exhibiting painter, and dedicated art educator based in Sarasota, Florida. A Ringling College of Art and Design graduate with a major in Illustration and dual minors in Graphic Design and Creative Writing, she brings both technical expertise and creative passion to her teaching. Ella’s artistic work spans diverse styles, from monochromatic portraits with dramatic lighting to whimsical pen and ink drawings and product designs inspired by early 20th-century children's book illustrations. Her professional experience includes local exhibitions, live portrait work, commercial illustration projects, and freelance work for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. As an educator since 2013, Ella has taught art to students of all ages both in-person and online, including international students through virtual platforms. She specializes in making art accessible and engaging for young learners, combining art history education with hands-on creative projects. Her teaching philosophy centers on helping students discover their unique artistic voice while building fundamental skills and confidence. Whether working with elementary students exploring famous artists or guiding older students through complex illustration techniques, Ella creates supportive environments where creativity flourishes and artistic skills develop naturally.
