The School House Anywhere Vero Beach has created a unique community environment where children have access to group learning utilizing the amazing American Emergent Curriculum and beautiful environment with a tremendous amount of manipulative materials made from natural wood, metal and glass. Our homeschool Micro-School is innovative, expansive, and Educator run, serving Learners from Kindergarten through 6th grade (ages 5-12). We meet Monday through Thursday from 9am-3pm, with an hour break for lunch and recess. Learners who attend our program are independent, motivated, self-driven Learners who are hard-working and enjoy a challenge. They must have a desire to learn and apply their knowledge to their work and with others in the classroom and independently. There is an expectation of kindness and support from each Learner towards one another. All academic subjects are included, as well as Cooking, Spanish, Art, Music, Sewing, Physical Education, and several other workshop classes. Within our immediate community, we have invention fairs, talent shows, mock trials, debates, concerts and performances. Our Learners will also be participating with our Vero Beach community in many ways, including hosting our pop-up restaurants under the guidance of Chef Sue, participating in local markets where Learners can sell their handmade goods, and many field trips to see the many things our town and state have to offer.
