I’m Ms. Machuca, a certified School Counselor, and I’m excited to introduce our young learners to the world of Social Emotional Learning. For the past 11 years, I had the privilege of working with K-5 students as a Lead Teaching Assistant in a public school. Supporting them through small group and one-on-one sessions has been incredibly rewarding, and watching them grow and succeed is what I cherish most. Now, I’m thrilled to embrace a new challenge as a 6th grade School Counselor at a public middle school. This role allows me to guide students through their transition to middle school, helping them build confidence, resilience, and the essential skills they need to thrive. I am especially passionate about teaching emotional regulation at an early age, as I believe it’s crucial for children’s overall development. I look forward to working with all of you to make this a wonderful learning experience!
