Hello. My name is Lorraine Carey, M.S. CCC-SLP, owner of Joyful Noise Speech and Language Therapy Services. I have worked as a speech-language pathologist for over 15 years providing therapy as it related to speech, language, and reading in school, outpatient rehabilitation, home health settings. Throughout my career, I have worked with children diagnosed with autism, developmental delays, language delays, articulation/phonology disorders, and intellectual disabilities. Before becoming a speech-language pathologist, I worked as an elementary school teacher for 5 years teaching third and fifth grades. I gained from that experience the understanding that students have different learning styles and the importance of developing individualized interventions that can lead to positive and effective educational gains in the lives of children with communication disorders.
