VegeCooking Camden is a portable education kitchen that helps people of all ages LEARN to cook & LOVE their veggies, but we especially work with children in our after-school cooking clubs. We incorporate basic kitchen skills like chopping, whisking, measuring, etc., as well as a bit of nutrition education into each class. During cooking clubs the kids prep, make, and taste the dishes, and then clean up after themselves while also learning some of the benefits, growing season, and a fun fact about at least one key ingredient. We have themed units throughout the school year to take us from August to May, as well as summer camps. Kids may participate in one or all of the themes according to how their parents register them. In addition, we have single trail class registration available.
