Major Choice is a mentor-driven, 13-15 week course that blends technology and structure with a personalized approach to guide all students, especially those with disabilities, from feeling lost and confused to confident and clear about their future after high school. We understand the challenges young adults face as they transition to what comes next. That's why Major Choice focuses on these four core components: -Self-Exploration: We help your student uncover their unique strengths, passions, talents, values, personality, and career needs, diving deep into who they are as a person and what will make them live the most fulfilling life. -Career Exploration: We expose them to a wide range of career possibilities that match their custom Career DNA™, researching critical information such as salary, job demand, company types, location, experience required, and much more. Ultimately, we help them narrow their choices down to three dream jobs. -Professional Skill Building: Mentors coach students on active listening (verbal & non-verbal), networking, professional email development, and interviewing, culminating in students interviewing professionals in their prospective dream jobs. -Personalized Transition Planning: We work with them to develop goals & a step-by-step roadmap with commitment letter. With the support of a dedicated mentor 2x weekly online, students leave Major Choice with a sense of purpose, a clear direction, and the knowledge to take those vital next steps.
