Brainwise tutors are specialsts who combine current reading science with traditional, practical, wisdom to help students quickly master basic skills; then progress to becoming confident, fluent readers. Our variety of fast, fun, multisensory activities will enable your student to reach their highest potential-even if they have previously struggled or been labeled in school. You will see improvement in your student's reading skills and self-confidence within 8 weeks. Most of our students are elementary school age, but we have also had success bringing teenagers, who have struggled with reading, up to grade level. Many of our students have gone from failing to Honor Roll in a few months. The director and main curriculum developer is a certified Reading Specialist K-12, with a M.Ed in Literacy and an Honor's B.A. in English from U. of Fl.; a published novelist (Scribner and Sons) and the developer of Phonetics First- Focus on Sounds- www.phoneticsfirst.com This is a revolutionary 'sounds first' reading method that was given a very positive review by the Florida Center for Reading Research. We provide a no obligation, free evaluation and consultation. All our tutors are certified Educatiors and also complete extensive, on-going training in related topics such as auditory therapy, orthographic mapping, primitive reflexes, visual tracking, Brain Gym, handwriting. We charge $60.00 for an 1/1 hour session and $40.00 for small group 3/1
