Aikido is a non-competitive traditional Japanese martial art focused on de-escalating conflict. Through cooperative, movement-based exercises, participants of all ages and abilities learn physical, emotional, and social skills they can apply in everyday life. Aikido teaches you to look at problems from another perspective, and to embrace the kind of challenges that help you learn and grow. Sensei Laura Hackle, a licensed occupational therapist, can customize individual or group training sessions for students with special needs. Classes and private instruction are available in Sarasota and North Port. Summer Camps are only offered in Sarasota.
