With Open Book Behavioral Tutoring, I help to address the behavioral challenges of neurotypically developing elementary-aged children in the general education environment. Behavioral tutoring focuses on more than just academics - it tackles the behaviors associated with task completion. Some of the behaviors addressed are: listening, attending, reading directions, and executive functioning skills. We will work on homework and skill acquisition by targeting the problem behaviors the child is exhibiting to get out of grade-level academic and behavioral expectations. I also specialize in developing behavior intervention plans, writing Individual Education Plans, teaching social skills, as well as teaching behavioral strategies and interventions to parents and educators.
