Chef Janette, as seen on Food Network, is an international and national award-winning cake artist. Blending her passion and background for science, engineering, and art with her talent for sculpting edible masterpieces, she created SOULful Bake Lab, which is a STEAM Bakehouse—where chefs leave with their gears turning, inspired by curiosity, creativity, and the science behind edible works of art. What does that mean? Chefs experiment in the kitchen while exploring chemistry, engineering, and physics through baking and sculpting and when we sculpt gravity-defying desserts, we are breaking out the power tools! Along the way, they learn recipe development, kitchen discipline, as well as mindfulness, the science behind baking, and artistic techniques such as hand painting, airbrushing, piping, sculpting, and working with a variety of sugar mediums—all while creating delicious sweets and having an awesome time!! Always fun and always exciting! Each month offers a new theme, new skills, and a fresh creative experience. Ages 8+ (if you have a 7 year old that you feel has the attention span to be in the kitchen learning the above, I'm all for it. Lets inspire them, but parents please use your discretion. We work with tools and kitchen safety is of utmost importance.) Thank you!
