Hello! My name is Deedra, and I am a certified math educator and secondary math coach with Orange County Public Schools in Orlando, Florida. I have spent the past nine years teaching and supporting middle and high school students in mathematics. I specialize in Middle Grades Math (6–8), Algebra I, and Honors Geometry. I understand that math can feel overwhelming for many students, and I work hard to make concepts clear, manageable, and confidence-building. My goal is to help students not only improve their grades and test scores, but also feel capable and successful in math. I believe strong relationships and encouragement are key to student success. I create a positive, supportive learning environment where students feel safe asking questions, taking risks, and growing academically. I offer in-person and virtual tutoring designed to meet each student’s individual needs. Sessions focus on: • Building foundational skills and closing learning gaps • Homework help and concept review • FAST/FSA and end-of-year test preparation • Algebra I EOC readiness and skill mastery • Study strategies and math confidence building My instruction is structured, engaging, and aligned with Florida standards to ensure students are prepared for classroom success and state assessments. My mission is simple: help every student grow in confidence, achieve success, and develop a lasting appreciation for mathematics.
