Hi, my name is Leah Jones. I'm a Florida-certified educator with a B.A. in Special Education and Elementary Education from Western Governors University. I specialize in working with students from Pre-K through 3rd grade in general education and K–12 students with special education needs, including those with cognitive disabilities, autism, and other learning challenges. I have three years(as a certified teacher and 17 years as a classroom assistant) of hands-on experience and a passion for helping children thrive, I offer tutoring and homeschool evaluation services tailored to meet the needs of each unique learner and family. I provide one-on-one academic support for Pre-K through 3rd-grade students, focusing on early literacy, numeracy, developmental readiness, and specialized instruction for K–12 students with exceptionalities, including IEP and 504 support. As required by; Florida law (§1002.41), I offer annual portfolio evaluations through a supportive and collaborative process, reviewing student work and speaking with parents and students to confirm educational progress. I will use my background in special education to provide tutoring and evaluation services tailored to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual and developmental disabilities, and other learning disabilities.
