Academic Instinct provides structured literacy instruction for students in Grades 1–6 through live, instructor-led online learning. Our program is designed to help students strengthen reading, writing, and comprehension using research-based methods aligned with the Science of Reading. Our educators are certified teachers and reading specialists with experience supporting a wide range of learners. We work with students who are struggling with foundational reading skills, students with dyslexia, IEPs, 504 Plans and/or other learning differences, and students who are on grade level but need support with writing clarity, comprehension, and confidence. Instruction is delivered in small groups to ensure personalized attention while maintaining an engaging and supportive learning environment. Our program focuses on phonics, decoding, fluency, vocabulary development, reading comprehension, spelling patterns, and structured writing. Each student begins with a diagnostic assessment to determine their current level and is placed in a group that matches their needs. Academic Instinct serves families nationwide through virtual instruction, making it accessible for homeschool students and families using education scholarship or ESA funding.
