Provider description

Girls of the World Inc. provides structured mentoring and educational enrichment services for girls ages 8 through young adulthood. The program supports academic success, workforce readiness, and social-emotional development through hands-on learning, small-group instruction, and positive mentoring. Services include instruction in sewing, cooking, etiquette, crocheting, financial literacy, budgeting, and basic entrepreneurship, along with creative arts, poetry, gardening, and wellness activities that promote confidence and self-expression. Career and college readiness services include resume and application building, mock interviews, communication skills, leadership development, and goal setting. Girls also participate in team-building activities and guided mentoring that reinforce responsibility, independence, and positive decision-making. Girls of the World Inc. serves families in South County Hillsborough and surrounding communities, with a focus on supporting girls from under-resourced households. Programs are designed to complement academic learning while building essential life skills that prepare students for school success, postsecondary education, and employment. Through consistent instruction and mentoring, participants gain the skills, confidence, and readiness needed to succeed in school and beyond.
