The Standard Flag Football Academy is an in-person sports lessons program based in Cape Coral, Florida, created to help youth athletes develop as players and as people. The program serves coed athletes ages 7 to 18 and is built around the belief that sports can teach much more than physical skill alone. Through structured instruction and consistent coaching, athletes are taught the value of effort, discipline, confidence, teamwork, resilience, and leadership. The mission of The Standard is simple: help athletes get better every day through strong fundamentals, consistent work, and the right mindset. The program provides a positive, challenging environment where athletes are encouraged to grow, compete, and build confidence while learning the game the right way. Instruction focuses on flag football skill development and overall athletic growth. Sessions may include footwork, agility, coordination, movement mechanics, conditioning, flag pulling, catching, defensive movement, route fundamentals, ball skills, and football IQ. Athletes also learn how to practice with purpose, respond to coaching, support teammates, and carry themselves with discipline on and off the field. The Standard was created to fill a need for more intentional, skill-based training for young athletes who want to improve outside of games and team practices.
