Bloom Language and Literacy with Ms. Rose
Bloom Language and Literacy, LLC
Provider description
As a former homeschool mom of five years, I understand the questions, frustrations, and worries that arise when a child struggles to read. I provide individualized speech and language intervention for children with dyslexia and other language-based learning difficulties, with a strong focus on the foundational skills that support literacy success: phonological awareness, alphabet knowledge, phonics, decoding, and vocabulary. I am a Florida licensed and certified Speech Language Pathologist and trained in the Orton–Gillingham approach (Associate level). In addition to my clinical work, I spent five years as a Speech Science Instructor at the University of Central Florida, where I taught future SLPs the science behind how we understand and produce speech. This academic and clinical foundation allows me to thoughtfully connect speech, language, and literacy in a way that is both evidence-based and highly individualized. Because I value a relaxed setting over a clinical one, sessions are held in a welcoming, home-based environment designed to help children feel comfortable and engaged. Multisensory and movement-based, I ensure that the child is not sitting at a table for long. Instead, we move throughout the room, play games, use hands-on materials, and incorporate a bit of silliness to keep learning enjoyable. Please contact me directly for details.
