This 'Reading Tutorial Service' is designed to offer sessions that are specific to the foundational needs of (Kg. - 3rd) students in small groups or individually. Foundational Skills include: Letter Recognition, Letter Sounds, Sight Words, Hand Writing and Word Building. The service offers sessions to students that struggle with Reading and Reading Comprehension. Explicit, Phonics Instruction will be taught through exciting strategies called mnemonics( learning through chanting) and kinetics (learning by doing) These methods allow the students to be engaged, grasp the concepts and apply the rules. The service accommodates the academic needs of students on the Dyslexic Spectrum. The tutorial sessions will help students confidently read fluently with automaticity (the ability to recognize words quickly).
