**After-School Sewing & Fashion Design Program** for girls and boys ages 8-18 My after-school sewing classes introduce students ages 8 and older to the art, craft, and creative problem-solving of sewing and fashion design. Students learn both hand-sewing and machine-sewing skills in a supportive, hands-on environment. Lessons include how to safely operate a sewing machine, read and follow patterns, select fabrics, and complete projects such as tote bags, clothing, and accessories. Beyond technical skills, the program fosters creativity, patience, and perseverance. Students develop fine motor coordination, spatial reasoning, and an eye for design while practicing math and measurement in real-world applications. Classes are tailored to beginner and intermediate levels, with opportunities for students to progress at their own pace. By the end of each session, students will have completed original, wearable or usable projects to take home, building confidence and pride in their accomplishments.
