Our Mission at West Miami Montessori Learning Academy is to prepare our children for the future by providing a quality educational program that will inspire children to achieve academic excellence, independence, and personal growth in a safe, respectful, nurturing, and diverse environment. Our method for teaching is based on the philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori who believed that all children have an innate ability to learn independently when provided with a positive environment rich with materials that foster meaningful learning experiences known as the Prepared Environment. Children have the ability to explore and learn at their own pace in an environment that is designed to educate first through the senses and later through the abstract in reading, writing, advanced mathematics, problem solving, geography, science and cultural studies. All our Lead teachers are Montessori certified, loving, caring, and genuinely motivated individuals who inspire children to work at their own pace, alone, or with others. They encourage the growth of self-motivated, independent children by balancing active, self-directed learning with small group collaboration and peer teaching. At West Miami Montessori Learning Academy, we are committed to caring for and educating the "whole child". Our students, safety, and success are our top priority.
